"It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you... "
I know, I know I can hear ~decidedly imperfect~ now. :oP
I just wanted to update to say that I will be back in blogger mode as soon as I get finished with this killer 4 week class and probably after Christmas and New Year's is over! I have a lot of things to do between now and Jan 1, 2011 and I don't know where to start!!!
I've neglected my home, my husband, my camera, my rest, my sanity, my pedicures, my hair, and everything else in between. The one thing I haven't neglected is my mini me because he doesn't allow you to ignore him not one second!
Scrapbook update, still pending. I haven't added any new pages in a few weeks, but I'll be back on it soon. I also have a blanket that I've been crocheting for the past 5 years that I'm determined to finish ASAP! My to do list goes "on and on and on and on..." *in my Erykah Badu voice*
With that said, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hmmmmm...
I have been attempting to stay committed to my 2 scrapbook pages a week. I completed 2 pages over the weekend and had some help from my little sister to finish an additional page. (Yes!) So now I have 2 more to finish this week and just so you know, I haven't done any yet for this week. But I'm going to try to get my two done for this week, but I have to admit that I have a jam packed week ahead.
What I am excited about is my son's soccer game this Saturday. I'm so excited!!! I may be more excited than he is. I will definitely be posting pictures from the game! We are also supposed to hit the beach again this weekend. So I guess it will be Scrapbooking Sunday this week. :o)
In the meantime, here are some pictures that I took over the weekend. We went to the beach for a little while and of course, I took my camera with me. We had a good time. SN: it's sad that I live 45 mins from the beach and this was the first time that I've visited the beach in 2 years! A shame, I know!
Here are a few candids from our beach excursion.

Scrapbook...
My son is almost 4 years old and I have yet to put together a scrapbook of his life. With this crazy thing called life going at full speed, who has time to do anything but go to work (if that's what you do daily)??? There aren't enough hours in a day. Not only have I not completed the scrapbook, but there are a lot of other things that haven't gotten done and there are plenty of things on the list.
I vow to get year 1 of the scrapbook done by February 23rd! I have 8 pages completed and A LOT more to go, but I am determined to finish it before he turns 4! The creative monster in me wants to get out, but it has to be caged up because of the other "more important" items on my to do list (like sleep). I'm going to try to get at least 2 pages done a week then grind it out in January if it's not done. The first year is the hardest because so much happened, but I should be able to breeze through years 2 - 4, right? *big sigh*
I guess we'll see... lol

Big Slacker...
I know! I'm a big slacker! I'm going to do better I promise.
A lot has transpired since September 1! My husband had birthday celebrations #1 and #2 over the weekend, then his actual birthday was yesterday AND my son got his soccer cleats yesterday! (I think I might be more excited about the soccer cleats, but don't tell my husband. lol)
So now there is one more birthday celebration for my husband and one more birthday celebration for our cousin. I'll be partying Friday and Saturday which means I should have some good pictures to show for it!! :o)
I also had my first photog job last Friday and I have another session lined up for this Friday. This season I'll be taking pictures at the local high school football games so I'll be practicing my action shots for my son's soccer game. :o)
I'm definitely still loving taking pictures, but I don't have much time to play around with the pictures or the camera these days. I'll have to make time, really soon, but until then you will be getting raw, uncut versions of my pictures.

First days as a photographer...
Since I was given one of the greatest gifts EVER for graduation, I've been attempting to do a little photog dabbling. I've been trying to take pictures of the little one, but he's been running away from the paparazzi! (He's preparing himself for when he becomes rich and famous!) I'm still getting used to the camera, but loving every minute I spend with it!! Hopefully once I'm done with classes this semester, I can take some photog classes and can really claim photography as my hobby.
